“The National Museum of World War II Aviation is an amazing experience for my junior high students. I have enjoyed this educational opportunity with my classes for the last few years, and it is such a well-done program that it has made my elective one of the most popular in the school. The STEM connection with the Curriculum is thorough, standards- based, exciting, and informative. My students were very prepared when they arrived at the museum. The docents at the museum are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the actual museum is a national treasure! Seeing the vintage aircraft, and learning about the U.S. role in World War II enthrall my classes on each visit. The incredible work that is going on in WestPac Restorations never fails to astound the students (and, of course, myself). On our last visit, we had the good fortune to witness a P-38 Lightning fly and land, one that hadn’t flown for years. This museum is something that every student should have the opportunity to visit, and I look forward to it each year!”

“The tour is thorough and interesting, the guides are knowledgeable and charismatic, the integration of physics is seamless and makes sense within the context of the history– everything about this program is great. I can’t wait to return!”

“It was a great experience for students, teachers, and parents.”

“[We loved] being able to apply what we had been learning in our science unit. We enjoyed being able to see all of the aircraft and learn what each different aircraft was used for. We were able to see how the science of flight (our science curriculum) was applied in real world situations and what kind of things the pilots had to know and be aware of while flying. This was a great program and very well led. It was so nice for students to be able to see how the things they learned in class were used and applied in real world situations. Thank you for the tour. It was very informational.”
